How is JCA ranked above Minooka when Minooka beat them in TWO sets (25-22, 25-18)? And they both went to three with Marist.
I would say it has to do with the strength of schedule. Rankings are based on how a team is currently playing. Minooka and JCA played 6 weeks ago. A lot has changed since then. Minooka has played 2 games against ranked opponents. JCA has played 9 games against ranked opponents in addition to an out of state nationally ranked team. JCA’s second place finish at Asics, which included 9 ranked teams from Illinois as well numerous out of state teams who were nationally ranked.
