St. Francis

Conference: Chicago Catholic League
Head coach: Mike Lynch
Top returnees: Six-foot-1 junior outside hitter Marcus Ingold, 6-7 sophomore middle hitter Bryce Walker (Hitmen 16-1).
Top newcomers: 5-10 junior libero Danny Fernandez (Hitmen 17  Elite), 6-1 freshman outside hitter KJ Glabb (Uno 16 Gold), 6-2 freshman setter Kevin Schuele (SPVB 15 Elite).
Coach’s comments:  “We are a very young team. We have two returning starters – Marcus Ingold on the outside and Bryce Walker in the middle. This is a great foundation to build around. With the infusion of three strong freshmen on the varsity, the season looks bright for the Spartans. The returning junior varsity players are coming off a conference championship from last year in the strong Catholic League. I believe this group is developing great chemistry, is very coachable and improving every day. Although we may be young this year, the entire program wants to continue the tradition of strong boys volleyball at St. Francis. The key to our early success will be the new players ability to adjust to the speed of the game at the varsity level.”
