Vernon Hills coach Chris Curry: “That first match was a really great battle with Deerfield. We just make far too many hitting errors to climb on top of these hard-fought matches. If we can find a way to keep the ball in bounds, we’ll be really tough the rest of this year. Our second match was senior day, and our all-senior lineup was fantastic and really fun to watch. Those seven girls waited a long time for this season, and they’re doing a great job leading the program through this strange season.”
