Game 2 was a different story. Our net presence finally showed up defensively and Carmel was getting a lot of blocks and slowed the St. Viator offense down tremendously. Our serving not only cleaned up, but was much more aggressive and kept St. Viator out of system. Also, it was clear that our offense started to settle in and find some rhythm. In Game 3, Carmel took an early lead but St. Viator chipped away and was up 12-11. Carmel sided out to 12-12, regained the lead and never looked back. It was great to see our leaders step up in the face of adversity, rally from early mistakes and get the job done. A good start to a crazy season.”
