The Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association is excited to announce the official restart of the organization. Illinois is one of the top states in the nation for men’s and women’s volleyball, and the organization is looking forward to growing the game.

The IVCA is seeking to develop its regional board to represent its 15 regions, advocate and vote for the all-regional and all-state teams, and promote and grow the game in Illinois.

“When I was coaching in Indiana, the coaches association was strong and that helped in the relationship with the state,” Shepard coach Brian Zofkie said. “Some rules and policies were not in the best interest of the game, and the association was able to be heard.”

“Anything we can do to promote the athletes is good in my book,” Zofkie said. “We should be doing more as coaches, and I think this association will help that.”
