ROWVA/Williamsfield coach Jaime Trotter: “We played Brimfield and I give them tons of credit, they came out fired up. We knew it was going to be hard to beat Brimfield for a third time this season. We had a solid game plan, but we came out and played too tight. We lost the first game and actually the score was not reflective of the outcome. They blew us away. The first game ended, and as our girls have done all year, they jogged off the court and said so we go three tonight. We did go three and we won in three.”
Brimfield coach Penny Silzer: “We dominated the first set. But Williamsfield made adjustments in the second set and we just could not adjust in response. It was a hard-fought match.”
Note: ROWVA/Williamsfield will play Roanoke-Benson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
