Most importantly, we somewhat slowed down their very tall, effective opposite hitter. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find enough offense to finish the first set. We were up 13-5, but when you open the door to a good team like that, it’s hard to close it again. And without Erica Bunning on the floor (ankle injury), we were missing a great source of competitive fire. And our most efficient hitter. It was a tough loss to overcome. We served tough (2 errors all night), played really strong, smart defense, and got some timely blocks. Just, in the end, not enough against a team with a lot of weapons.”
