Top Notch 17 Elite finished second in the Stratman Sports Series 18s Tournament on March 19 at the Legacy Volleyball Training Center in Fenton, Missouri, falling to Rockwood Thunder 17 Navy, 23-21, 16-19, 15-8, in the championship match.
Top Notch 17 Elite features 5-6 libero Kyra Staples (Sacred Heart-Griffin), 5-10 outside hitter Peyton Bergschneider (Pleasant Plains), 6-1 outside hitter Lauren Buxton (Pleasant Plains), 5-10 outside/opposite Olivia Gumz (Springfield) and 6-0 middle blocker Kalyn Keiser (Chatham Glenwood).
Also, 6-0 rightside hitter Claire Krivanek (Chatham Glenwood), 6-1 middle blocker Blair Johnson (Litchfield), 5-10 setter Megan Becker (Springfield), 5-9 middle hitter Sienna Hadley (Pleasant Plains) and 5-8 setter Hannah Smith (Pleasant Plains).
Top Notch Elite is now 34-11-1 on season and will play at the Mideast Qualifier in Indianapolis, Indiana, March 25-27.
