Plano coach Brittany Hill: “Reapers came out fierce in the first set, controlling the pace and staying in the lead for majority of the time. They fell into a second-set ‘slump,’ trailing Marengo 19-11. Reapers tried to pull themselves out of that slump by chipping away until it ended 25-18 in Marengo’s favor. The two teams battled in a very thrilling third set that went in Plano’s favor tonight. Big contributors today included Cami Nunez with several well-placed kills and April Salgado with an outstanding performance in the libero spot, accumulating an impressive amount of digs and a 2.3 average passing rating out of serve-receive.

We are excited to get another tournament this weekend for more opportunities to learn and grow from.”
