It was great to have the opportunity to play against some new competition (even though we still played Grayslake Central for the fourth time). I couldn’t be more proud of these girls for fighting until the very end. In the championship, we lost the first set and were down 18-22 in the second. We came back to win 26-24 and force a third set. We were first to 5, first to 10 and first to 15. Carmel is now on an eight-game win streak.”
