Teutopolis coach Tim Mills: “We finished the weekend with a 3-2 record (9-2 on the season) and we finished fifth in the Silver bracket at the Crossroads Classic. It’s such a great tournament. The two teams we lost to Castle from Indiana and Mckracken County from Kentucky both have enrollments near 2,000 and have a rich history in volleyball. Castle was playing in the Gold championship match today so to play those teams even was great for our growth as a team.”
Note: Savannah Grimes held the school setting records with 3,224 sets and 1,123 assists. Savannah was a four-year starter and graduated in 2018. Kaylie Jordan surpassed both of those totals this weekend. She bested the sets mark in our match with Effingham and the assists mark in our match with Belleville Althoff. At the end of play today, Kaylie has 3,335 sets and1,162 assists. Congratulations Kaylie.
