Changes are coming to Lincoln-Way East boys invite, including expansion to 32 teams

Lincoln-Way East will be joining with First Point Volleyball, an arm of the USA Volleyball Foundation, to host the 2026 Lincoln-Way East Invitational next spring with some additional modifications.

The Invitational will be expanding to 32 teams, with a focus on having at least one team from each Midwest state that sanctions boys’ volleyball. Below is a breakdown of the entire tournament including the committed teams at this point.

 In the next few weeks, Lincoln-Way East officials will be working with First Point to finalize the field and add additional teams from the Midwest.

Dates/Locations: Friday, May 1, 2026- Lincoln-Way East/Lincoln-Way Central; Saturday, May 2, 2-26- Lincoln-Way East/Lincoln-Way Central/Lincoln-Way West

Format: Friday – four-team team brackets, each team will play two matches (will determine if teams play in the Gold, Silve, Bronze of Copper bracket on Saturday); Saturday, four eight-team brackets, each team will play three matches.

Schools currently committed (26): Belleville East, Brother Rice, Cathedral (Indianapolis, Indiana), Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Fishers (Fishers, Indiana), Glenbard West, Glenbard South, Glenbrook South, Hinsdale Central, Lake Park, Lane Tech, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way West, Lockport, Marist, Minooka, Naperville North, O’Fallon, Riverside-Brookfield, Roncalli (Indianapolis, Indiana), St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio), Trinity (Louisville, Kentucky), West Aurora, Wheaton St. Francis.

There will be more information made available in the upcoming weeks. Tournament officials are looking to secure top schools from Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan and Pennsylvania to finalize the field.
