Glenbard West claims the No. 1 spot in the Illprepvb.com rankings after beating Neuqua Valley at Glenbard East.

How to decide who is No. 1 after wild weekend at Glenbard East and Warren?

Roll the dice? Heads or tails? Draw straws? How about give the defending state champion the benefit of the doubt.

Glenbard West claims the top spot this week after squeaking past Neuqua Valley at Glenbard East, one week after Neuqua Valley defeated Lincoln-Way East at Wheaton Warrenville South. Lincoln-Way East and Glenbard West could meet again April 21 at Brother Rice’s Smack Attack.

But maybe the real No. 1 will not be decided until June 2, when all three  could conceivably reach the state quarterfinals.
