Unity Christian of Decatur (formerly Lutheran School Association of Decatur) is currently 27-4 and 9-0 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference. Led by Maggye Smith, who has career records of more than 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills, and freshman Mallory Harrison, who has racked up more than 116 aces this season, Unity Christian has won three tournaments – the Central Illinois Traveling Tournament, the Unity Tournament and the Lincoln Prairie Conference tournament.

We were able to keep our serves aggressive in hopes of keeping Newark out of system when we could. They have some solid hitters, but we made adjustments where we could. This game is so fun, exciting and amazing when these girls put their mind to something, work together, have some positive energy and talk it out. Thursday will be our senior night where we will recognize our eight seniors. We will also be playing our neighbors, Pontiac, so it should be a fun and competitive night.”
