Notes: Joliet Catholic fell behind 4-0 in Game 1 before coach Christine Scheibe called a quick timeout. The Angels responded by forcing six ties, the last at 12-12, before going on an 11-5 spurt for a 23-17 lead. In Game 2, Joliet Catholic led 7-3, 8-4, 11-6 and 13-7. Crystal Galaviz unleashed a trio of terrific kills as the Angels pushed to leads of 16-9, 19-13 and 23-14. Joliet Catholic improved to 10-4 in its last 14 matches, with three losses in three games, and closes the regular season Wednesday night at home in the East Suburban Catholic Conference Tournament consolation championship match.
