In the second set, Illini West lead from start to finish with a long serving rally from both Gracie McDowell and Megan Harrell. In the third set, Illini West started down 9-3 before calling a timeout when they would earn 3 consecutive points to bring their momentum back up. Through the rest of the third set, scores were neck-and-neck, only earning 1-2 points at a time by either team. Illini West was up 24-21 and let Southeastern go on a 3-point run before finishing the game. Paige Gutting had a huge, smart placed kill from the right side to give the Chargers their final point.”
