Batavia coach McKenna Kelsay: “I am so proud of the way our team fought tonight. The first set we got caught up in the speed and power that Bolingbrook brought. They were firing on all cylinders and we struggled to catch our breath. Second set we struggled early on again and were even down 20-7 and fought all the way back. We had a hot hand from Amanda and played some killer defense to get all the way back in it. Although we didn’t pull out the ‘W,’ I think this was some great momentum and confidence going into the playoffs.”

Chicago Christian begins its quest for a second consecutive IHSA Class 2A semifinal berth next week at the Acero/Soto Regional.
