Hersey coach Nancy Lill: In a hard-fought battle in Lincolnshire, Hersey overcame a error-plagued first game to bounce back to defeat Stevenson. This was only our second game and our first game in nine days. We stumbled out of the gates completely out of system. We had five missed serves in Game 1 and many unforced errors. I give the girls credit for staying positive to get back in our game. Our block was exceptional, and it was a true team effort with multiple players stepping up in the victory.”
