Note: Illini West set a school record for most wins in a single season.

Prairie Central coach Kirsten Smith: “Talk about a competition between two rival teams who wanted the win. This was a fight for each point with comebacks from both sides. I am so proud of my girls because at one point we were down by 8-9 points and came back to win the set. Volleyball is a very momentum-based sport and once you lose the momentum, you have to work twice as hard to gain it back, and that is what our girls did tonight. This was our biggest night of blocking yet (we are not a big team) and we also got blocked a lot tonight so I would say it was definitely a net game match. Pontiac did an awesome job at attacking us when we were recovering by hitting the second ball while we were transitioning and pushing to the back/edges when we were in coverage mode. We ended up working our movements out, gaining some energy, talking and helping each other, and fought for each and every point.”
