Vernon Hills coach Chris Curry: “Senior libero Sammy Adkisson led the defense and set the tone with 66 digs on the weekend, putting him close to 300 for the season with 10 matches remaining. Sophomore middle hitter Josh Ludolph was our most efficient hitter all weekend with 20 kills on only 39 swings, and junior outside hitter Cedric Bennett had a great Saturday piling up 11 kills with only 1 error. He’s a lot to handle when he keeps the ball in play. Sophomore outside hitter Jack McDonald led us with 28 kills, 6 aces and 25 digs, while senior middle hitter Joey Reyes had 12 kills and 10 blocks. Freshman setter Erik Giezycki totaled 88 assists, 15 digs and 6 aces.”
